Recipe Organization

Today I'm trying something new, well, new to me!  I'm putting up recipe cards to go with the cooking posts.  This will be the first one to go with the Pumpkin Bread post showing how to make my girlfriend Candice's delicious Pumpkin Bread.

The thing is, since I've never done this type of thing before, I'm not too sure that it will work.  But! What the hey - right?  Let's give it a go.

So here they are:

Pumpkin Bread 3x5 card
Pumpkin Bread 4x6 card

Seriously - how cute is that!?

To keep it organized, the cards are color coded:  Red = Main Dish, Orange = Dessert, Yellow = Breakfast, Green = Soup & Salad, Blue = Appetizers, Purple = Side Dishes

You can cut along the dotted lines for an index card.  Or, print them out on 8 1/2x11 paper and keep them in your cooking 3-ring binder.  (The one with color coordinated tabs and page protectors?  What's that you say?  You don't have one of those?  Me neither.  But soon...very soon the organizing will spread and it will happen!)

  2. I have a fabulous cranberry orange nut beer bread with an orange glaze. It's really delicious. I developed the recipe for my Holiday Beer Breads and I usually make it for Christmas breakfast - so cheery! I'll be sure to blog about it this holiday season.
